Our Purpose

We love nature, outdoor activities and the Andean culture. Our main purpose is to contribute with nature conservation and  sustainaible develoment in Lamay through tourism and resposible activities.

We believe that responsible & regenerative tourism helps raising the economical value of nature, biodiversity,  culture and traditional work in the fields.

 

Our headquarters are located in Lamay, a small village in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cusco.  We develop and organize hikes in the mountains and experiences in local communities. We colaborate with friends positive iniciatives that offer outdoor activities like mountain biking, rock climbing and fishing.  

Native gastronomy,  health & wellness and arts are keys components of our experiences.

We invite you to connect with nature,  local people and  with yourself.

About Lamay

Lamay is a small village located in the province of Calca, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Cusco.
 

Population: 

6000 people, of which 50% live in the village and the rest in the communities up in the mountains.

 

Main activity:

Traditional farming of native products such as potatoes, corn, quinoa, tarwi, and beans among others.

 

Traditional activities:

Brewing Chicha de Jora (corn beer), breeding guinea pigs (for consumption and for sale), baking bread

 

Handicraft projects:

Traditional weavings and pottery 
 

Main Festivities:

Lamay Anniversary - January 3rd

Santiago Apóstol - July 28th

Santa Rosa de Lima (patron saint of Lamay)  - August 31st

Typical dances:

Capaq Coya, Majeños, Mestiza Qoyacha, Capac Negro among other groups that brighten up the party with their colorful costumes and traditional dances.
